Day 16 – Episode you've most recently watched: THE DIPPY BLONDE AFFAIR (Season 2)

Not that this really means all that much cause, when I don't have a particular episode on my mind, I tend to be methodical and watch the shows in the order they originally aired back in the 60s. That's the case here. It was the next episode in the list, so I watched it this past weekend. [chuckle]

It definitely is not one of my favorite episodes, but it does have its moments. Like the one with Illya trapped in that bell-tower and him calling Napoleon on the communicator asking if he would like to maybe say good-bye, since he was likely about to die. And Napoleon's response of "Good-bye" as he feels the barrel of a gun against his own skull. [grin]

And Napoleon does look really yummy in that black "stealth" outfit during the very beginning of the episode when he is cat-footing into the Thrush's engineer's mansion. Can't overlook that as a true redeeming moment in this episode, now can we? [wink]

This is one of those episodes that only stands out in my mind because of the stuff that goes on behind-the-scenes more so than what happens on the screen. I can only imagine that having Robert Vaughn's then girlfriend guest star probably was a huge deal with the celebrity/gossip press at the time. (Almost on par with Ireland making an appearance.)

I've always loved James Frawley, both as an actor and as a director, so he makes this episode even more fun for me.

You're right that the highlights of the episode are the opening sequence and the "goodbye" discussion.

Hey, you changed your journal style!

While the ep isn't great, it does, as you note, have moments. I actually like JoJo. She's such an unregenerate gold-digger, there's no pretence that there's a good girl waiting to come out :)

Yup! I got tired of the old style and for some reason the last few days my journal was skewing oddly off the screen, requiring me to use a horizontal scroll bar to read everything across. Bad berries!

The new style reconfigures nicely to the screen.
