Day 14 – Favorite quote: "Never in the history of the American drama has the cavalry been late." (Napoleon Solo in THE FIDDLESTICKS AFFAIR [Season 1])

There are a ton of quotes from MFU that I like. Especially in first season there were just so many witty bon mots. Yet this one, from one of my favorite episodes, just stands out. It's so Napoleon: very American, optimistic and yet sarcastic at the same time.

Yup, this quote has to rank as my very fav.

That's a great scene, and a fun line the way Napoleon delivers it.

The Peter Field scripts and the Alan Caillou scripts had particularly clever, quotable lines.

Fiddlesticks is such a fine example of MFU at its very best. Several memorable lines, and such effective use of the lighting and angles, and a terrific storyline...everything about it is first rate. It's certainly one of my favorites.
Good choice!

I'm with [livejournal.com profile] elmey - it's hard to beat a script by Peter Fields or Alan Calliou. They have some of the most quotable dialog - and, of course, Vaughn and McCallum deliver it perfectly.
