Day 05 – Favorite movie: THE SPY WITH MY FACE

It was the first of the movies I wanted to buy and the extra scenes were the main reason. Because it was based on one episode rather than two, there was more that was added to make it into a movie than in the other MFU films, and what is added I think cleans up the story a good bit.

We are also talking about favorite here and there is a sentimental side as well to why I like this movie: it is based on the first MFU spisode I ever saw (DOUBLE AFFAIR) back in the 1960s. The scene of Napoleon riding that motorcycle along that sometimes rough road has stayed with me forever. [grin]

I also absolutely adore the physical look of Napoleon in this one. Even though it's technically the "double" wearing it, have to admit that mocha colored suit really did compliment Napoleon's coloring.

While it's not exactly a good movie, it sure is better than the other ones :D And the extra scenes help a bit with the plot, though IK still should have known before he did!

Napoleon looks great in it, IK's eyes are so so blue, that's enough for me most days!

I love that in the first season Napoleon was allowed to wear color - even if it only came across as darker or black. Thankfully The Spy With My Face gave us a chance to enjoy it.

I think it does work well being a single episode expanded into a movie; sadly the episode suffers and doesn't work nearly as well.
