Misconceptions...
Feb. 10th, 2011 12:48 pmYou know somehow I just don't get where fans see Illya as more often put into a physically rough situation (don't want to use the word "tortured" since really little of what happened to the guys ever went far enough -- thank god -- to truthfully be labeled that way) with Thrush/other enemies in MFU than Napoleon.
If you watch the episodes, it really happens about equally and it also was Napoleon who was "tortured" by U.N.C.L.E. itself in SUMMIT FIVE (and that had to be a really harrowing experience since it was "your own" doing the abusing). Still the idea of the ever-tortured Illya persists.
I suppose it comes from fanfiction, which often makes Illya a victim, but honestly in the series both guys had their fair share of "uncomfortable moments" within the hands of an enemy.
So in the next series of posts I am going to put up a MAYHEM METER season by season, just to see what was actually in the episodes.
